Occupying cold air
Branches shaped like the outstretched hands of a man
Reaching for something
He can't quite
Reach
Almost meet.
Nodding
Long knotted torsos bow
Against a back-drop of blue
Above a landscape of blue
Populated by idle, leggy swimmers.
Coloured flags marking the beginning
And the end
Flicker then are still.
And long-lengths stretching like miles ahead
Quiver
In the same blanket-blue.
