lizzie
Written by Katia Kash on Friday the 1st of March 2013
she
says: "please, call me lizzie"
her passport is a heap of visas
(north american states have seen
the photo, where she still has a
sexy fringe)
she travels with a lantern in case
the darkness is too thick so she
can switch it on and ask "who is
there?"
her voice rattles with the panic of a
movie
hero asking "who's alive?" in a
city
taken by aliens
mr. barrister's mind blocks
the images of lizzie wearing his
shirt early in the morning; he is a young
fisherman in this fantasy and says
"adieu, angel! please spend this
money
sparingly" as he sees her off to the
door
he is relieved that lizzie's hat has a
veil
and no-one will see who is leaving his house
