Festival Fields

Written by Kathryn Marchbank on Tuesday the 6th of January 2015
Your hand took mine in the festival fields

Past the pink flags lined and dotted

Chasing each others tails

And us,

Content to miss the taking of daylights finale

Walked outside a sienna sunset

And along the high road,

I folded my arm in yours

In the comfort of cradling branches

We smelt afternoon rain on shaded soils

And briefly darkness became our adventure

Before the engineered colours of tents and stages

Heralded the source of the musical mystery
