Your hand took mine in the festival fields


Past the pink flags lined and dotted


Chasing each others tails


And us,

Content to miss the taking of daylights finale


Walked outside a sienna sunset

And along the high road,


I folded my arm in yours


In the comfort of cradling branches


We smelt afternoon rain on shaded soils


And briefly darkness became our adventure


Before the engineered colours of tents and stages


Heralded the source of the musical mystery
