Baby

Written by Kathryn Marchbank on Tuesday the 6th of January 2015
You wake, you rise and slump and simply fall about smiling

On cushions, on me, on the world that is duvet
As the dawn sun might warm rose skinned orchard apples

The heat of your morning head momentarily rests upon my
cheek
It climbs in to my memory as pure joy

Quickly big brown eyes spy more excitement

You crawl and attempt a head first slide
Off the edge of the bed
I call this action Stunt baby

I help you fly through the air with sound effects

To make a safe carpet landing
The beautiful baby Beatrix
