Missed the launch? Then listen here ...
Lazy Gramophone Press would like to announce the publication of our fifth book: Will Conway Tastes of Ink:A message;
A history;
A quest;
A passing;
A death sentence;
A claim;
A sacrifice;
A confession;
A loss;
Nine stories, some sweet, some rather unsavoury... but all very tasty. Will Conway's first book, complete with illustrations by Daniel Chidgey, is a collection of short stories about life, death and everything in between.
To mark this new release we will be holding a Tastes of Ink Book Launch at The Betsey Trotwood, Sunday 27th March, from 1pm.In celebration of his new book,
Will Conway will be joined by fellow artists
Joanne Tedds (spoken word),
Mat Lloyd (spoken word),
Musa Okwonga (spoken word), and
Tom Conway (music), all of whom will be performing throughout the day. The ever roaming
Lazy Gramophone market stall will also be in attendance, displaying a brand new collection of inky items as well as our already bulging horde of handmade wares. While a fully licensed bar serving excellent Sunday roasts - each meal fresh from the Betsey kitchen - should help make for an unmissible Sunday.
The Betsey Trotwood will remain open to all throughout the day, however, access to the main launch room will cost
£4.99. You will receive a
free copy of the book on entry.
This will be your first chance to get a copy of this 1st edition. Any remaining copies will go on sale at our
our online shop from Monday 28th March 2011 and nationwide from all good
independent bookshops from 1st April 2011.
